From c.1922 a variation on the other Baines Stanley card to be found on this site, this is "Accrington S" (S for Stanley) by 'Baines Ltd', the other arm of the one-time united family firm of J Baines. Unlike JBaines of Bradford, and eventually Gillingham, the Barnsley-based firm was a company limited by shares, hence Ltd - though this can barely be seen on the well-played worn card's back. This green & red Accrington card is poor but rare
